Black Buck is the story of a Starbucks manager turned salesman extraordinaire. Darren is 22, a barista, lives with his mother, and doesn't have any plans or greater vision for himself. But when inspiration hits and he upsells CEO Rhett Daniels on his Starbucks order, Darren's life completely changes it's trajectory.

I thought this book was a really intense ride and I'm glad that I read it. I found the satire really interesting, and the way that the American Dream was portrayed and interrogated kept me interested.

I would have liked it a little more had I gone in with different expectations. The ad I saw said, "Move over The Office..." and I thought that this book would be more of a comedy. While it is satire, I certainly didn't find the situations "funny." But if you are a fan of dark humor and satire, you might find this book hilarious. I have seen other ads comparing it more to, "Sorry to Bother You," or "Wolf of Wall Street," and I think that is a more fair comparison.
