From the first page, this book drew me in. The characters were real, sincere, and relatable; I felt like I knew each one of them personally, and their relationships were at once excellent and imperfect. The writing is beautiful - frank, honest, and just sincerely there, telling you what's happening without throwing in any frivolous or unnecessary words or writing. The plot was great, and it hooked me right away - the underdog story, the exciting twists and turns - but more than anything, I really think it was just the characters that kept me going. Each character was like their own important person, and each one was so real and so relatable with their own paths. . . changing as the book did.
All in all. . . I think that I would give Black Buck five out of five stars. Well-written, relatable, interesting, and overall a good read. Recommend!
