I really love the cover of this book. It looks great, the colors are nice, and it is also soft.
The author did a really good job at writing the characters. I absolutely hate Clyde from the start. Darren's character development is great. I go from liking him to disliking him to liking him again.
This is the type of book where the main character comes across a great opportunity only to turn his back on the people he cares about and lose himself. Eventually he realizes his error and redeems himself. This type of story arc I tend to avoid in books or movies because it stresses me out a lot. Watching the character make a bunch of bad choices he'll have to make up for later is stressful. However, I enjoyed the book anyways. It was humorous and it sort of felt like a bad dream. Everything that happens is so crazy you feel like you should be able to just snap out of it and have everything go back to normal. The thing about this book though is that all of the crazy stuff going on actually happens. The book points out the things that are actually happening in this country and just makes them plain and clear.
