First of all, thanks to the team at Bookish First for sending this wonderful book to me! I'm so glad that I won it in a raffle. Now, on to my review!

Darren was such an amazing character. The writing sucked me in from the very first page and made me want to learn more every second. As the book progressed, the characters really came through and were very realistic to me. The narration was very witty and at times, hilarious! I loved the little tidbits of "advice" from Darren; some of the words written were very memorable to me.

My one main downside was the fact that there was too much going on at times for me. The separation of the book into sections was not my style and they did not seem to flow well. The author should have tried to make the parts more cohesive, but they still were pretty solid.

Most of all, the book made me become a more compassionate and alert person. I never knew about the struggles that people like Darren have to face on a day-to-day basis. I'm very glad that I read "Black Buck" and I learned a lot by checking it out. Overall, this is a pretty good book. Get it once it releases and share it with your friends so they can make a difference too.
