This book is basically the movie Sorry To Bother You but in book form and I could not stop picturing Lakeith Stanfield with isn't a bad thing AT ALL <3 <3 <3 Buck= Lakeith for sure!! What first caught my eye about the book is the cover because I love the city and lattes.As a Latina I def want to see brown skin represented and the cover is sure to lift up black men by saying "There's Nothing Like A Black Salesman On a Mission."
Buck is a likeable character but Clyde and most the guys he starts working for are assholes and I just can't stop picturing Buck turning into a huge jerk just like the bizniz guys. Before he goes through that transformation he had to prove himself as the funny black guy that could rap. Very stereotypical situation but isn't that the way the world still works even tho it shouldn't? Does the one token black guy always have to be the jokester?! Hopefully white people can learn to do better...
