A book I saw several times on Instagram and as a pick for Read With Jenna. It was being compared to The Wolf of Wall Street, which I enjoyed, so here we are with a review.

Darren, AKA Buck, is a 22 year old working as a manager at Starbucks, not living up to his potential. He still lives with his mom, and she wishes he would make something of himself. Darren is content to live in this existence with an amazing girlfriend by his side. Then Darren upsells a coffee to the CEO of a tech start-up and lands himself an interview for a sales rep. Things go crazy from there, both in Buck's life, and for everyone around him. This book is a dark satire and you must know that before you venture into the pages of this book.

Buck is both a hero and a tragedy in this book, for me. I love him and dislike him, sometimes on the same page. There is so much going on in this book, and for much of it the reader is holding on for what ridiculous antics will happen on the next page. Your hackles will be up for so many things said and done, there may even be some tears shed, and in the end, when the last page has been read, how will you feel about Buck? My rating a strong 4, maybe even 4.25⭐.
