Corporate America is a battlefield. Will you make it out alive? How will it change you? Will it all be worth it?

A deeply reflective journey with a plethora of curveballs along the way. Part memoir (inspired by the authors own experiences) and heavy on the satire, this is a dark tale that had my attention from the get-go. The audiobook narration was fantastic and packs a punch.

While I know I’m not necessarily the intended audience for this book I’m glad I took the time to read it. I have a feeling it’s a story I’ll be thinking about for quite some time. I’ll certainly be tuning in to see what @readwithjenna readers have to say.

Two complaints from me - The repeated use of the R word. Completely unnecessary and disheartening. Secondly, the length of the book. Compare it to watching a 3 1/2 hour movie. While entertaining it also leaves you feeling like you’ve been hibernating for months.

4 ⭐️‘s for a debut that expertly explores ambition and race.
