This book is definitely outside my usual comfort zone. Not that this is a bad thing. It's good to step out of your comfort zone from time to time. I enjoyed this excerpt, especially the portions that showed Darren with his family and friends. Those portions felt so real and grounded that it was easier to go along with the more satirical and fantastical scenes at the startup.
