What kept me interested was the the NYC sales scene in which the book takes place. I automatically thought of a fast paced story with lots of ambitious people. The contradiction with the main characters starbucks job also helped make me wonder and want to read more. The cover was filled with bold colors which drew my eyes in. The yellow sets the other colors apart and makes me want to read the book. The story being centred around a black main character is also a selling point as I look to diversify my bookshelves.
