I'm not sure I can do another World War !! book. I've read stories about soldiers, about lovers torn apart, about Jews and other people designated as unwanted surviving in concentration camps or hiding in the countryside, trying to escape. I've read about families split apart and museums sending their collections out of London. The latest seems to be about children sent to "safe" places, out in the countryside to family or friends to wait out the bombings. This book has children sent to strangers in America, surely safe from the bombs. I don't think I can do more books about WWII.
