I will admit I'm not a fan of historical fiction, I find the genre depressing and a bit repetitive.
This one sounds slightly different thou, as it's about a girl who leaves during the war and has to return home after it, but doesn't want to. I think that makes it sounds different as she doesn't live through the hardships of war, which is usually the depressing part for me.
I would give it a try even if I'm not a fan of the genre.
But what's witht the historical fiction covers? there's always people's backs in them.
