The excerpt from this book did a good job at giving an overview of the story that's in store for the reader, thanks to the prequel. The writing was good quality, yet approachable. I was a bit surprised as the bulk of the book started that there were so many different POV characters, as I anticipated this book would be from only one POV.
Generally speaking, historical fiction is not something that grabs my attention, so this book won't be for me. However, I'm sure there is a great audience for this book out there.
