The writing is really lovely and I found Millie's heartbreak at having to part with her daughter so well conveyed and sad. The idea of a character bonding with another family after being sent away is also very intriguing to me. I'm not sure I'm the biggest fan of the POVs changes so far though, and the cover is isn't my favorite.
