I have read a lot of WWII historical fiction, so much that I decided I wasn't going to read anymore for a while and for the most part I haven't for the last year or so. But this one already is intriguing and comes at it with a different angle.

Things I like so far: First it has the viewpoint of a child but isn't YA. Second,I like that you get multiple perspectives already in the first look. Third, I have not read a book about a child who was sent to America during the war, only about those that were sent to the countryside in England. The writing is engaging and flows well, and so far the characters are interesting and I want to know more about them.

I am very much looking forward to this book.
