Eva wakes up in the hospital and realizes that she has been struck by lightning. She is scared and has no idea what has happened to her. There are police around and the detective will not stop trying to hound her with questions about what happened. Eva is irritated because she doesn't even know what happened.
Not only does Eva not remember anything but that she has been told that her mother had been murdered on the same night. Eva begins to have flashbacks about a knife that seemed familiar to one in her mother's house. She begins to wonder if she had anything to do with the murder. Eva freaks out and leaves the hospital which only makes her look more suspicious because she was found a few blocks away from where her mother was murdered.
