I did not have the opportunity to read this author’s first novel, The Night Olivia Fell. However, I am going to make it a point to do so since I loved this one so much!
Behind Every Lie was a great thriller that it prevented me from putting the book down! It was fast paced and kept me guessing whodunit many times throughout the story.
I really felt bad for Eva when she woke up after being struck by lightning and learning that her mother was dead, and she was the main suspect in the murder. As if the death of her mom wasn’t bad enough, she had no memory of what happened and began second guessing herself and her own involvement in the death. As the story unfolds, and Eva begins her journey of finding the truth, she is faced with alarming discoveries.
Overall, it was a great read on familial relationships, the secrets that are kept, and the outcomes that can be life changing.
