This book grabbed my attention in the first 2 pages and kept it the entire time! Eva wakes up in the hospital to learn that her mother has been murdered and that she is a suspect. Eva needs to try and figure out what happened that night because she does not remember a single thing. In her quest for the truth, she needs to delve into her mother's past. In doing so, she learns quite a bit about her mother and about herself as well. The story is told from two angles: one focusing on Eva and one focusing on her mother. This family has many secrets and lies which are revealed to the reader slowly.
As each new character was introduced to us, I tried to figure out if he/she was the killer and what their motive might be. I don't want to give out any spoilers but the ending is not a disappointment. Definitely worth your time.
