This book caught my attention in the first line by comparing it to one of my favorite thriller authors, Karin Slaughter. As I continued the premise of the story grasped me. After her mother has been killed, Eva has to fight to find out what is wrong happened to her mother and prove that she is not guilty of killing her mother. The book appears to have many of the elements that I enjoy in a mystery and holds promise to explore relationships, and the past while solving the interege of a murder.
