The synopsis is a bit misleading, because it isn't that Eva cannot remember anything, but rather that she has fragments of memory that are potentially condemning but not complete, so she does not tell anyone about them. Nonetheless, this does not detract from the book at all.
The sample given sets up the novel to be an excellent psychological thriller. The last lines of the sample provided create a cliffhanger, leaving me wanting to know what it is exactly that Eva's mother is implying. I've already added this book to my Amazon wishlist because I know I will have to add it to my shelves!
