This started out interesting; hearing the 911 call, following the officer through the crime scene but once we time jump, things started to change.

One of the things that had also intrigued me about the was the use of the journal entries/writing prompts that Maddie did for her therapist. Unfortunately they weren’t used as much throughtout as I was expecting.

The time jumps wouldn’t have been so bad except that we spent way too much time in the past and got a lot of useless information from it. There were many times when this made the book drag on.

Also, towards the end I started to guess at the plot twist although there was an extra plot twist that I didn’t see come but I can’t say I was too surprised about it considering the direction that character arc took.

For a psychological thriller, it just wasn’t very thrilling.
