I don't know what to say or how to feel about this book...it was a page-turner, having read over half of it in one day, however, there's all kinds of crazy happening among the three main characters...Maddie, Ian and Joanna.
The story is told in multiple timelines; "X days before", "day of the killing", "Maddie" and "Ian", where we get the long and tedious backstory of how Maddie and Ian met, what happened leading up to the day of the killing, Maddie's side of the story and Ian's side of the story. I couldn't for the life of me figure out why Maddie even wanted to be with Ian or why Maddie wanted a friend like Joanna.
I was surprised by the twist at the end...no spoilers...just how in depth and premeditated the killing was.
