I really wished I could love this

I dnf’d this book a little half way through. I was so invested in these characters but that was short lived. I couldn’t maintain the connection with Maddie and Jo that I had at the beginning. I didn’t feel the Love they supposedly had for each other. It seems to me that they didn’t like reach other much.

Now that brings me to Ian. I usually love an alpha male. Usually. I couldn’t figure out why he was in the book though. His character wasn’t written well and there was zero connection to him. I struggled so bad and eventually that was one of the reasons why I couldn’t go on.

I didn’t feel like there was much thought put into this book after the first 5-8 chapters. I was immediately pulled in but that didn’t last long.

This book had so much potential and it makes me sad to see how it went downhill. I’ll still give Annie Ward another chance though. I’m not writing her off just yet.
