Dragged a bit

When I read the preview for Beautiful Bad, I was intrigued. It seemed like a domestic thriller, which is a genre I typically enjoy. However, after reading the book, it took a bit to get through it. I felt the book dragged and the writing wasn't great. The main character, Maddie, was irritating to me. It seemed like she was making terrible decision after terrible decision. The four storylines (present, Maddie in the past, Ian in the past and Maddie in the weeks leading up to the present) got confusing and it seems like some key events were not fully addressed. By the end, I understand why it was written the way it was, but it just seemed cheap and kind of lengthy. Overall, I was disappointed in the book.
