Decent
While thriller isn’t my Go To genre, I decided to give Beautiful Bad a try. There was a mix of reviews from excellent to so-so that i had to see what it was all about. I did think that the narrative being from two different timeframes “present day” to “past” was very clever. It helped almost as a back story to answer the why did the murder happen. I do feel as though Maddie and jo’s relationship wasn’t as deep as Ward was trying to reach. All of the relationships in this story line were superficial. In quite a few sections of the book I believe Ward spent too much time focusing on pointless details that I found myself wanted to skip over those parts while I asked my self why does this even matter to the general story.
Overall it was a decent book but not something i would reach for again.
