I absolutely loved reading this book! I enjoy books that have complex characters and plot twists, and this book did not disappoint! From the beginning, I was drawn into Ekon and Koffi's lives, as well as the magical world that author Ayana Gray created in this novel! I especially appreciated how the story of the Shetani was developed throughout the book and how the journey to find the Shetani led to plot twists I had not expected.
The writing in the book was absolutely gorgeous and I found myself unable to put the book down because the plot was so fast paced. My only complaint was when the book came to an end and I knew I wouldn't be able to read a sequel anytime soon!!!
