From the premise alone, I knew I wanted to read this book. This has actually been on my TBR for months, but taking a glimpse inside this book only made me want it more. The world building is incredible: from the native peoples, the city and jungle settings, to the strange and dangerous exotic beasts--and the storytelling is some of the best I've ever read.
