S.E. Hinton's The Outsiders is a classic, and I love a good retelling. The first look was intriguing. You start to get to know a girl who wants to be bad, but you can tell/feel that deep down she's a good kid...maybe needs a little guidance and help finding herself. A concept I am personally familiar with. Her assistance with the tea-sipper gives you a glimpse if that inner kindness. I am very curious to see how the rest of the story pans out. Does she become a full scale "bad girl" and what happens to make Bad Girls Never Say Die?? The cover is beautiful, although...I don't think cat glasses says Bad Girl, but the dark lipstick and red filter give an ominous feeling. I'm excited to read the rest of this book!!
