This story jumped at me first, because of the setting, immediately placing me at the old M-60 drive-in as a tee, a car full of deadbeat friends, and a backed-up line to the concession stand. I can totally relate to Evie, and why she feels she needs this group. The need to validate ourselves through others and mark the progression of youth is one messed up way of thinking.
I'm certain a real friendship is going to develop with the girl in the pink dress. My intuition tells me some major shit is happening in the girl's bathroom, something that will change their lives forever! Was there something going on with the brother? The cover is perfect. Can't wait to read more.
