This is the type of book I would typically never be interested in-- nonfiction, scandal, intrigue. But Paul Pringle, a longtime journalist (and an excellent one at that) perfectly captured my attention from the first paragraph, keeping me at the edge of my seat as I read about corruption and wealth within Southern California. The storytelling and changes in perspective kept me interested and waiting for more. Looking forward to the rest of Bad City.
