I don't generally like nonfiction, as the writing can often be dry and I appreciate the creativity allowed in fiction, but I was pleasantly surprised by the first chapter! One of the few nonfiction writers I like is Erik Larson and I enjoy his work a lot, because his books read like fiction (despite nonfiction genre). The beginning of Bad City felt like fiction as well and so I think I may actually like it!
