Woah.... That prologue!!! I was hooked to say the least. You can tell the characters are in life-threatening situation and something mysterious is going on. There is just enough detail and mystery to keep reading. Unfortunately, the momentum is lost after that first part. One thing that was frustrating was the fact that the first starts in the middle and tries to explain as you go, but it doesn't really work. The background is a little too complicated and never fully explained. It took a while for me to figure out it was some sort of private school they lived in and were trying to sneak out for several days. It is not explained very well. It also isn't clear as to why or what they are sneaking out for which just leads to confusion. There also is some palpable tension between the main character and CEO, but it isn't explained at all. I'm sure that all of the issues that I ran across get resolved the further you read, but on the start alone, it is lacking on some crucial context information.
