I love a good mystery and this one does not disappoint!
I absolutely loved the idea of a woman in her retirement heading off to Italy and becoming the main character of a book. Auntie Poldi isn't the first thing I come to mind when I think of leading lady but Mario Giordano has made me rethink that thought! She is so much fun to read about and the cast of characters are all very quirky.
I truly lost myself in the setting and the story. I would read the book on my lunch break and instantly be transported to Sicily, trying to solve a murder. It made my hour go by too quickly and I had to try hard not to read it outside of my lunch break (and failed a couple of times).
