Auntie Poldi and the Sicilian Lions took place in Sicily, Italy and follows Auntie Poldi, an eccentric lady who moves to Sicily with plans to drink herself to death. This plan gets derailed a bit when she finds a body of an acquaintance of hers and breaks into full investigation mode.
This book has the point of view from Auntie Poldi's nephew, and the first chapter was a bit distracting for me with the point of view. Thankfully the rest of the book after the first chapter was less distracting by far. Although I did like Auntie Poldi as a character, I thought that the mystery plot itself was a slow one. The investigation is dragged out in a way that wasn't very exciting for me.
If you're looking for a fun mystery, this would be a good book to pick up, but if you're looking for a fast-paced thrilling mystery, this one might not be the one.
