AUNTIE POLDI AND THE SICILIAN LIONS is a murder mystery with a touch of the Red Hat Club thrown in. Aunt Poldi has recently found a new home and has finished renovating only to find herself involved in a new murder. As she battles alcohol and depression, she finds herself suddenly immersed in a new love when she least expects it.
Not long after Aunt Poldi gives up searching for her new handy man, she decides to go down to the beach only to discover the body. Soon she meets the handsome detective and she sees the light at the end of the tunnel. Though she is heartbroken and lost, soon she finds herself with a reason to stay sober as she attempts to learn who the victim was and what happened to cause his death.
I found myself finished with the story before I knew it. The characters are likable and the mystery will have you wondering who did it until the end. Aunt Poldi will bring you into her world and you will not want to leave. At the end of the story, I wanted to see more, but as I received an advance readers copy, the teaser was not yet there.
