This is the first book I've read from Mike Bond. I hadn't heard of read much on reviews of Assassin's before diving right into it so I didn't know what to expect other than it was a Military/War Thriller set in the Middle East. And it was an okay Military/War Thriller. The writing left a bit to be desired in my opinion but it you're looking for something in those genres this would fit the bill nicely i suppose. I will say it was a bit to political for a work of Fiction for my tastes. It was full of action though. I do feel that it handled religion and culture of the Middle East in a somewhat biased way though. It didn't seem very well researched in those regards. Maybe they could have done will with some sensitivity readers and fact checkers.
