While this book contained somewhat of a realistic depiction on the horrors of war, I felt that the 'first look' didn't completely captured my attention. I think I just didn't like the subject matter (in general). But judging by the writing, I think it's good enough for me to give it 4/5. I think some people might enjoy this novel but it's just not the book for me.
