As I was reading, I kept thinking of all the ways wishes can go wrong. Sort of like winning the lottery-- most lottery winners go broke in a very short time. Still, the idea of making a wish and having it come true is intriguing. I'm excited to read the rest of the story. What DID his mom wish for??? What is Eldon going to wish for? Will it make him happy and content? Or will it be a disaster? What will the others wish for? Does every one know what your wish is? Why were they given the ability to make a wish and have it come true? Do two who share the same birthday, really share their wish? How can you word your wish so you get what you really want? Is it better to be altruistic or selfish? IS the girl going to wish for something like "world peace" and how will that work? It COULD mean a political despot. That would be peaceful, but hardly what she wants.
