From start to finish, this book had its hooks in me. I adored the storyline, because I love the idea that there's a whole town out there somewhere that looks completely normal from the outside but on the inside they're harboring a special secret that sets them apart from the rest of the world.
The interesting thing about this book is it's almost like playing that game called Mean Genie or whatever you call it. Where you wish for something, and it's granted along with a negative element you hadn't thought of. For example, you wish for a new car and the genie says, "granted, but it only runs on Tuesdays and every other Sunday." Be careful what you wish for, because it may not end up that great for you.
