This was a quick and engaging read. Eldon lives in a tiny town in Nevada that is only special for something they keep completely hidden from the rest of the world - when you turn 18 you get to make a wish and that wish comes true. Eldon is relatable, even if he can be a jerk who has some growing up left to do. I won’t lie and say he was always a like able character, but he has some good friends that definitely add the needed like-ability to the story. It was fascinating to read about the wishes people chose to make and the intended and unintended outcomes of those wishes. It was a bit of an emotional roller coaster and I devoured it in one day as I had to know what was going to happen and what, if anything, Eldon would choose to wish for. The writing was good and I definitely will read more from this author. It makes the reader think, if you could truly wish for anything that would actually come true what would you wish for?
