Personally, I am one of those people who gets creeped out pretty easily. Tell me anything remotely strange, weird, or mysterious and I will be up late at night, turning it over in my head and trying and failing to be mature about it and just go to sleep. So I don't know if it was just me, but this book gave me some serious heebie-jeebies. The whole idea of the book was definitely cool. . . sort of like a fleshing-out of the popular topic of people being granted wishes, and I was definitely down for that. . . the characters were pretty likeable, and it was well-written. . . but I don't know, something about the whole idea of it just felt really creepy. Not necessarily in a bad way. . . hey, creepy books can be great! But it left me feeling rather unsettled.
So. . . I guess if creepy books are your thing, or you're just more confident than I am, this is the book for you. It was definitely a great idea!
