This book is set in a small town in the middle of the Mojave Desert. Although small towns can be mundane and boring, this small town has a secret. On the resident's 18th brithday, they get one wish that comes true. And Eldon is about to turn 18.
After reading the first look, I am very intrigued by the concept of this book, and now, I want to read more. The main character has secrets of his own, and he isn't exactly thrilled about his wish. Overall, I think the concept of the book was interesting. After only reading 3 chapters, I can already get a sense of who the character is. His background doesn't seem all that good despite both of his parents having their own wishes, and I interested in knowing why. I am looking forward to reading more of this book!
