When I first heard about this book, I was intrigued by the premise. Reading the first look, I get the sense of a very strong "YA feel". The writing style is very simple and straightforward, and the prose seems quite dialogue heavy. The characters seem pretty lightly sketched, but at the same time, I know it's hard to get a good idea of elements like that at this early point. The setting is awesome though, I love the idea of a story set in the desert near Area 51. I really enjoyed the flow of the story so far, and definitely wouldn't mind reading more to find out what happens.
