I love the cover, and the title of course immediately drew me to check this book out. Who can resist a Princess Bride reference? Even better, the storyline and writing style do this fabulous cover and title justice. I was hooked right at the first line. It's also pretty cool that the town shares my name :)
The main character has a strong, identifiable voice and one of my favorite parts about this excerpt is the naming of the characters. They all seem to fit what I've perceived to be their personalities at this point, and are exactly what I think names would be out in the deserts of Nevada. I am so pumped for this book to be released in January and am already planning who I will be gifting it to!
