I was unfamiliar with Susan Meissner's works before reading this preview for "As Bright As Heaven" but I instantly fell in love with how well she writes. Each sentence is an example of how beautiful language can be when expressing even the simplest of things.
The sample doesn't give much of a glimpse as to how the plot will play out, but it definitely does a fantastic job when it comes to presenting the main character. Just a few paragraphs are enough to set the stage for a strong-willed woman and give some insights into the family whose story we will be following.
