I really enjoyed this book, I love historical fictions so naturally I was interested in this book and the out find out its set during the Spanish flu really drew me in since I haven't read any book set around then.
Within a few chapters I had a weird nostalgia, though I didn't grow up IN a funeral home, I grew up around a beautician that did hair and makeup at the funeral home so that was yet another interesting thing about this book.
I really loved this entire book, the story, the characters, the style, in the second part there were some things I didn't care for but the way It was written felt "real" and would have sounded odd if written another way.
