What a fun cover, right? This just screams fun in the sun to me. If you’re looking for a “key” to paradise, aka escaping somewhere warm and sunny, Anchored Hearts is your ticket!

Typically, the second chance romance trope is one of my least favorites. I tend to hold a grudge, okay? However, Anchored Hearts does it so well! There’s not too much miscommunication or drama. The secondary stories for the characters are fun and engaging.

Alejandro Miranda and Anamaría Navarro were high school sweethearts who split after it was clear they wanted different things at different times. Ale’s been out exploring the world and hasn’t been home in years since his father made it clear he wasn’t welcome there when he seemingly shunned the family business. When Ale shatters part of his leg on a photography shoot, he’s sent home to recover in the Keys.

Anamaría Navarro has never gotten over Ale’s departure. She’s followed in her family’s footsteps as a firefighter and paramedic, and is trying to grow her side business as a personal trainer. Ale and AM’s meddling “mamis” find a way to bring the two together, and they are slowly finding a way to recover together--Ale from his injury and Anamaría from her broken heart.

Thanks to Bookish First and Kensington for the advanced reader’s copy. Special thanks to Priscilla Oliveras for chatting with us after our LOVEarctually buddy read for this one. She’s SO nice and accommodating, and you can tell she truly enjoys connecting with her readers.
