After reading the first book in the Keys to Love series, Island Affair, and thoroughly enjoying it, I was very much looking forward to this follow up, Anchored Hearts. Unfortunately, I think my expectations were a bit too high and I ended up being slightly disappointed. It was a sweet, slow burn second chance romance between Alejandro Miranda and Anamaría Navarro. I did enjoy the family and cultural aspects of the book, as I did last time. The crazy Cuban American family aspect is so fun to read about and was the one part that did not disappoint me. The romance part of the book is what left me wanting more. I did feel the connection between the characters but unfortunately it just left me wanting a bit more. I cant quite pinpoint what it was, but I think overall it was just a bit too predictable. Overall, this is a easy, quick and fun summer read.
