I did read Island Affair and can say that you can read this book and Island Affair as standalones. You do see characters from Island Affair in this book.
Also I connected with Alejandro! I had an external fixator on my left leg due to a fall I sustained on Halloween 2018. However my injury was much worse and my contraption was bigger. So I felt a connection there.
Like a book where they characters have a history not just a history of being friends but as a couple as well. A second chance romance!
I also love a strong female character who knows what she wants and sets out does just that.
Love the Mami's and their meddling! Oh the joys of being a mom and trying to get your child to reconnect with the person they are supposed to be with. Who knew that Alejandro and Anamaria would come together on their own, with a pinch of their mom's help?
