I’m kind of torn between feeling some of the background information about the two main characters was necessary, but also feeling after reading the first 42 pages that I was getting bogged down with too many details and was getting bored. Maybe some flashbacks to fill in details would have been beneficial. I didn’t dislike the story and found myself caring about the characters. I guess I just found it a bit slow in getting started.
