When everything you believe is turned upside down

You spend your life creating a set of morals and values that you wish to live by. You think you know exactly how far you are willing to go to maintain them. Then in one moment, everything you believed is shaken to the root and where do you go from here? Sophie has the perfect husband, the perfect children, the appearance of a perfect social life. Is any of it real? I loved the opening of the book. The reader can actually visualize Sophie's perfect family heading off to start the day. The slow acceleration as the evening progresses to destroy everything Sophie believes to be true in her life was riveting. This preview was an enticing bite and I kept looking (hoping) for more. Now I am ready for the full meal.
